AVID educators change lives. As an excellent teacher, you may never truly know where your influence ends because it impacts not only the here and now, but also the future.
Simply put…
You offer hope.
You inspire and empower your students and their families.
You give a voice to those who may not be heard.
And because of you, your students have choices.
For those of you who are already AVID educators, thank you for allowing us to be a part of your influence in your classrooms and your schools. You are champions for your students.
Many of you who are reading this have been up since 5:00 AM so that you could be in early to meet a student for tutoring. You have given up weekends for grading and offered a shoulder to cry on or a hand to give a high-five to in celebration. You always wish that you could do more. I want you to know that you are making a difference in your students’ lives and in this world. AVID is honored to be a part of your work.
As a reminder to all of our AVID educators who fight every day to help students succeed, I have included a new video. We revisited several of the students who created a graduation video their senior year and checked in on what they are doing now, six years later.
